I suffered for 28 long years with this horrible, nasty, stubborn toenail fungal infection. It was a bad one - invading four of my toenails and one fingernail. Ugh! Thankfully, last year I finally worked out how to get rid of it, which inspired me to create this blog and help others overcome this nasty little problem.

I'm going to show you exactly how to get rid of your nail fungus step-by-step. I have tried just about everything in my 28-Year campaign against the fungus. Hopefully you can learn from my experience and I can save you a lot of time, money and frustration!

STEP 1 - Study Medical Journals / Research Studies To Properly Understand What Works
Typing "how to get rid of nail fungus" in the search engine is not research. Reading random, generic articles and comments on the internet is not research. I wanted to get the hard facts and evidence from a reliable source.

So I spent weeks diving into dozens of medical journals & studies. They can be overwhelming, time consuming and difficult to read at times, but after a while they begin to make sense and gradually I gained a sense of clarity when the same evidence began rising to the surface over and over again.

To save time and summarize the my weeks of research - The ingredients that are shown to be most effective time & time again for nail fungus are: Antimonium Curdum, Nitricum Acidum, Thuja Occidentalis and Arsenicum Album.. Now, only a handful of products on the market actually contain any of these ingredients, and only one has all four of them: Zeta Clear.

Part of the reason why most products don't have these ingredients, is because they are expensive. And high costs are bad for business. The snake oil products would prefer to sell cheap ingredients at a lower cost.

STEP 2 - Forget Home Remedies
For some reason "home remedies" dominate the internet. When I was young & naive, I wasted years and hundreds of dollars testing all kinds of different "home remedies" trying to rid myself of this damn fungus - with little to no improvement. Most of them are a complete waste of time and money! I gained some very minor improvements in my nail with Vics Vapor Rub, however the results were fleeting and the fungus returned in full force. Move on to the next step.

STEP 3 - Avoid the 'Snake Oil' Products
Once again, I wasted time & money on the cheaper treatments from the pharmacy and online - trying to save a few dollars. It is not worth it. Full of "filler" ingredients, these products are no better than the home remedies. Go straight for the heavy artillery in step four.

STEP 4 - Get A Strong Treatment With Proven Ingredients

So I spent weeks sifting through research journals and the ingredient lists of dozens of products in order to find the best treatment. Eventually, I narrowed down the best of the best products and splashed out on an extra strength product that ticked all the boxes by the name of Zeta Clear. No flashy marketing, and no marketing tricks. Just a quality treatment with quality ingredients that I knew would attack the fungus aggressively. Sure, it wasn't the cheapest option. But boy I was happy with the results!

Don't be cheap when it comes to your health. Invest in a treatment with high quality ingredients. I went deep into as many research studies as I could find and found one commonality between all of the cases with a positive outcome - Antimonium Curdum, Nitricum Acidum, Thuja Occidentalis and Arsenicum Album. I then went through the ingredient list on dozens of products on the market and found that:

A) Most did not have any of these ingredients
B) Only a few products had a some (but not all) of these ingredients.

The only treatment that contained all four was Zeta Clear. Two other products which have some (but not all) of these ingredients are Funginix and Nail Renew. They may not be as effective as Zeta Clear, but I would be confident in them producing satisfactory results nonetheless. Again, the products with these ingredients are not cheap, but they will do the job.

STEP 5 - Prepare Your Nails For Battle
If you're going to do it - then do it properly the first time. File down your nails. Your nails are biologically designed to keep things out of the nail bed underneath. This is great for preventing infections under your nails - BUT - The caveat is that it also makes it more difficult for the topical treatments to penetrate the nail and attack the fungus in the nail bed. That is why filing your nail down is very important.

STEP 6 - Patience & Discipline
Let's be real. You will not see any amazing results overnight. However, if you remain consistent at applying your treatment every day, the results will come. Trust me, you will be thrilled once you see the first visible results within the first few weeks! It will motivate you to stay the course of the treatment, where going forward you will notice further improvements week-on-week.

STEP 7 - Nail Fungus GONE!
Before long, my fungal infection had completely disappeared and all five of my infected nails were replaced by a beautiful, healthy new nail. I no longer had to hide my feet in embarrassment. Instead, I got to enjoy going bare-foot and open-toed footwear all year round! I am glad to report that my toenail fungus disappeared 12 months ago and hasn't returned since!
